AryanOne of the best recipes to come out of my trip to Bulgaria was for this oh-so-simple, refreshing yogurt drink. It wasn’t always on the menu but everywhere sold it, you only had to ask.

Bulgaria is famous for its thick and creamy yogurt but as the real thing is not always easy to get Greek yogurt makes a good stand in.

Makes 500 ml


200 ml thick natural yogurt
300 ml cold water
pinch salt (optional)
ice to serve


Whisk the yogurt and water together until smooth.

Stir in the salt, if using, and serve over ice. Enjoy!
